Christians around the world are invited to give particular attention to praying and caring for God’s creation as part of the global Season of Creation, observed from September 1 to October 4 every year.   Both the Anglican Church of Canada and the Evangelical Lutheran Church In Canada have adopted this season as a time of prayer, education, and action, encouraging synods and dioceses, congregations and parishes to participate.

There are many ways a community can participate in the Season of Creation.  Here at Trinity we are using the themes of this season as our focus during each of the 5 Sundays. (join us by clicking on the service on the bottom left hand link on this page).  The devotions prepared by the bishops of our Anglican/Epicopal and Lutheran Churches in both Canada and the US are providing focus for reflection during our Wed AM 'Dwelling In the Word' (find them under New Resources at https://www.anglican.ca/publicwitness/season-of-creation/).   And as part of our Church Council Agenda this September, we will be reflecting on the process of officially becomeing a green congregation in both the ACC and the ELCIC, something that we have certainly begun and want to continue to enflesh.

As well, opportunities for participating in a workshop with the Rev Laurel Dykstra of 'Salal and Cedar', will be promoted here via ZOOM on September 27 at 7 PM.  She will be engaging with participants on the topic of why caring for the creation is part and parcel of who we are as church.

Join us.  Care with us!
