Pastor Brenda is the incumbent of Trinity Church. She began her ministry with us on December 1, 2016.
Brenda has a ready smile, huge laugh and loves people. She believes her call is all about conveying the truth that everyone is beloved of God! Jesus is her Rabbi and she is passionate about following in his footsteps to teach what he taught, sharing the love that he pointed to in God all the time. Throughout the Scriptures, compassionate justice is central to God's love and so she feels compelled to walk the talk, being engaged in matters of truth & reconciliation, homelessness and poverty, LGBTQ matters and more. She believes God's love has the power to truly change the world, to live in harmony with all of creation and to help us all to become the compassionate and just people we are created to be.
Brenda's background includes singing and acting, journalism, fashion and management. She loves to read, perform, entertain, garden and cook. (keep scrolling down)
Brenda's spouse of thirty years, Ian, a retired Lutheran clergy, recently died. She has one daughter, and three older step children who have provided her with a reason to be called Grandma Brenda 8 times over.
Oh ... and yeah .... she bleeds green and white. Originally from Regina, Brenda is a tried and true Saskatchewan Roughriders fan. Go Riders!
